Awards
To annually solicit and administer nominations for the Information Technologist of the Year Award, and to perform other duties as delegated by the ITPAG.

Career Opportunities
Develop avenues for HSO – IT Liaison Officers to share information about position vacancies of possible interest to applicants to the Commissioned Corps in the Information Technology field.

Create a more streamlined approach to searching current career opportunities available to Commissioned Corps Officers and applicants to the HSO/IT category.

Listserv / Website
Create and maintain the listserv. Redesign and maintain the website.

Membership
Gather nominations and hold elections in the fall.

Create a database or spreadsheet with contact info for all voting and non-voting members. This will require on-going maintenance.

Review the monthly report that I receive from ISB to contact new IT hires and invite them to join the ITPAG and our listserv.

Outreach for non-voting members from other categories. Specifically,
the pharmacy and engineering categories.

Professional Development
Create a mentor/mentee list for our ITPAG.

Invite speaker to talk on different subjects (ex: promotion, IT...etc).

Develop coin to help in the fund raising efforts.

Recruitment and Retention
Target recruitment efforts in and around local universities and colleges with Information Technology programs.

Identify and publicize Information Technology positions available to Commissioned Corps officers.

Identify and record best practices in recruitment and retention practices in the Commissioned Corps.

Ensure Information Technology specialists, within the Commissioned Corps, are assigned a mentor with a similar background.
